SINTEX, specialized in the field of coating machines on transfer paper and fabrics, has pointed out the strategies for the new year
Clear ideas and real optimism for SINTEX, based in Brendola (Vicenza province), specialized in the field of coating machines on transfer paper and fabrics, which mainly carries out activities related to the textile industry, the footwear sector and the plastics and paper converting industry. The company was attended the Tanning Tech show in September and then it participated also in the ProssimaPelle event, held in Arzignano (Vicenza) on October, 29th. In both events we met Giuliano Griffante and Alessandro Pizzeghello, respectively owner and sales manager, who revealed the strategies for the new year.
“In 2022 we will try to develop – they say – the sectors we care a lot about and that are coming back, namely those of automotive and synthetics, which, in our opinion will have an outstanding development in the coming years. Specifically, we will try to boost our ‘pilot plants’ for chemical producers, while in the last months of 2021 we already have had requests for coating plants”.
“The rift – Griffante and Pizzeghello point out – that is occurring between China and Europe, due to the fact that going from one continent to another is still problematic for everyone, is making us going back to the old habits, when China used to produce mostly for the domestic market, In the meantime, we Europeans will have to build, at least in part, what we have left to them for many years, for example the cheapest fabrics. In the sale of large machinery, China risks being no longer competitive on a global level, given that a few hundred thousand euros for shipping must be added to the basic cost. Therefore, we are also in demand for coating machinery, somehow, we are returning to the Eighties and Nineties. Even if slowly, we feel a new perception, we have to ride this trend, perhaps with innovation, technology and our ideas. There is a shortage in semiconductors and lots of the electrical apparatus and inverters, but having them shipped from China does not cost so much.”
According to the owners of SINTEX, however, the Chinese operators have not ‘abandoned’ the Italian companies. “After the lockdown – they conclude – they are contacting us again, for example via videoconference; we believe that some high-tech niche products will resume interest. As for the other continents of the world, right now we do not consider the South American market attractive, but instead the US one could become interesting, not only for the synthetic field but also for the tanning sector.”
