The technical and coupled fabrics division of SIRETESSILE, featuring the Sire-Tex brand, is at the forefront of the production of fabrics for the creation
of winter footwear that is perfect for facing even the coldest days.
Among its top materials stands out a wide collection of wools and furs: some are made with 100% natural wool, others with a mixed composition of wool and synthetic fibers or yet another with completely polyester synthetic furs.
Sire-Tex brand wools and furs are available in several weights, colors and types, and they are made in lambskin or smooth hair, in order to meet to the different customer requests and to be suitable for the creation of hiking boots, après-ski boots, winter footwear for children and adults.
The focus on greater sustainability and the environment has become a key aspect of the Research and Development office and has led to the birth of a new category of fur, made of polyester derived from the recycling of PET, namely the material of which plastic bottles are made.
These furs are certified GRS, Global Recycled Standard, the international recognition that guarantees sustainable production and the use of recycled materials. Alongside the wools, among the winter fabrics the felt linings stand out: warm and soft, they are made with different types of raw materials, in many colors and processing. The Berry cloth is made with recycled polyester from PET: it is ecological, soft and available in several colors. The Wool cloth is instead made up of natural wool and polyester, the perfect mix to ensure even more warmth and performance to the shoe.
This year the collection has also been enlarged with the Pannetto Sheep, 80% made with merino wool, which ensures even more comfort and softness. Wool, furs and cloths can be coupled with other materials to create the ideal item for footwear or with the waterproof and breathable Sire-Tex membranes, thus creating a product that combines technical performance, comfort and aesthetics.
