An Italian soul and a Spanish feel: these are the features of SKA Shoes, that mark a new beginning according to what have made them famous. The first flagship store opened in Corso Garibaldi in
Milan
“Despite the still uncertain period, there is a desire for the future and for a restart,” says Silvia Colombo at the latest edition of Micam, where the SKA family business based in Monza presented the SS 2022 news. “We have started once again from our winning ideas, rethinking them in detail, every season we renew ourselves without ever betraying the vocation for sustainability and comfort expressed by very comfortable shapes and materials”. In the limelight at the stand were the hand-sewn espadrilles revisited in a chic key, the clogs, the crochet models and above all the entirely vegan organic canvas line, developed without materials of animal origin, always highly appreciated for its environmentally friendly and cruelty free qualities.
“In this long pandemic season, we have recorded, like many, a drop in turnover,” continues Silvia Colombo. “Retail sales in Italy have suffered a setback, we must instead thank the foreign customers who have supported us by letting us starting a recovery since the end of August. However, the figures are still not what they used to be. That’s why we decided to react, further investing in the brand image. The temporary shop in Corso Garibaldi in Milan, open from April to July, has become a real flagship store open all year round located in one of the most strategic spots of the Italian fashion capital. In this period, more than ever, the important thing is to be there, strengthening one’s identity in the eyes of the audience.”
