The general director of Spraytech Marco Zampieri and Mauro Golin
What is the role played by R&D investments in your company?
They are of pivotal importance. One of our main strengths is the in-house assembly and manufacturing of the electronic components. In this way, we are able to monitor the entire production cycle. At the moment, we can provide three types of electronic systems, each one featuring cutting-edge functions, to be used for the making of top-quality, innovative articles and designs. The latest versions, launched in 2013-’14, are called Leonardo Upgrade and Leonardo 3.1 and are constantly upgraded, so as to keep up with the clientele’s needs.
A steady commitment resulting in the filing of new patents.
Exactly. A company with no ideas is sterile. Patents are one of the most valuable assets for any firm, an added value that actively contributes to the corporate success. Bearing this in mind, Spraytech can rely on a significant and interesting array of patents, a factor that helps us keep up our competitiveness on the market. Furthermore, the constant commitment to research results in the steady upgrading of our machinery and plants, as in the case, for instance, of STS – Spraytech Time Saver, the automated colour change system: we have improved the washing phase, putting at the customers’ disposal cutting-edge solutions, much to their satisfaction.
What can you tell us about customization?
Our machines are designed to be easily customized, so as to promptly meet the specific requirements of each customer. Besides being able to implement every type of functions, we can upload information and programmes in all languages. An internationalization-oriented attitude that has affected our corporate policy: our scope of action has widened significantly, from the Arzignano’s and Chiampo’s districts to the global markets. Spraytech is striving to become the perfect partner to tanneries worldwide.
Currently, the most renowned fashion brands demand the utmost results’ repeatability. What are the solutions developed by Spraytech to achieve this goal?
Digitalization is one of our main strengths. As a matter of fact, it is possible to save work parameters, to export data and implement them on all our machines, independently from their geographical location: the results will always be the same.
As far as environmental safeguard, Spraytech is constantly at the forefront.
Our technologies are conceived to ensure the least environmental impact as possible. We have developed a booth that, thanks to three water veils, can reduce by 70-80% the fumes, especially the solid components. Moreover, we keep paying close attention to another key issue, that is, the rational management of resources, both water and energy. The latter can be achieved thanks to LES – Leonardo Energy Saving device, an integral part of our plants, that is designed to make up for any down time, by putting the machine on stand-by when it is not producing.
Do your machines comply with the Industry 4.0’s standards?
Investments and patents, production efficiency, digitalization, environmental safeguard and energy saving: the plants developed by Spraytech fully embody the values of the so-called Industry 4.0. Furthermore, they are equipped with multifunction, touch-screen panels that allow to monitor all the machines’ components and to effectively manage the work programme, as well as to receive and send data, to connect with the technical department and to carry out remote assistance.
Last but not least, in addition to the production side, Spraytech guarantees an excellent assistance service too.
That’s correct. If Spraytech is meeting this type of success, it is also because it can provide a thorough service, ranging from consultancy and technical assistance, from maintenance to spare parts supply, so as to ensure a just-in-time response. The global market requires an equally global-scale service and this is the challenge we are about to take on: for some new customers in the USA, we are drafting a contact that entails on-site maintenance every three months. www.spraytech.it
On the occasion of the Simac Tanning Tech, an international showcase to be held in Milan from 20 to 22 February 2019 with all the major manufacturers of machines for leather processing, Spraytech Srl offers the innovative spray booth “Waterflow”. Produced entirely in stainless steel, it has been designed with three layers of water to obtain a cascade effect that drastically reduces the pollutants released into the atmosphere. The attention to the respect and environmental healthiness is one of the prerogatives that Spraytech is putting as added value in its products together with the reduction of energy costs and the improvement of production efficiency. In addition, Spraytech will present a world premiere, the innovative software for the management and control of all the operational functions present in the entire spraying line. This differs from the previous ones to be more intuitive and easy to use by the tannery staff. Attention has also been paid to the graphical viewing with the inclusion of a new 21.5- inch “touch screen” in Full HD that will monitor all components and devices present in the entire production line. Once again, Spraytech confirms itself as a leading company in the finishing machines sector, allowing its spraying lines to be completely integrated into the “Industry 4.0” project.
