The idea of further expanding the production range, reaching sectors different from those always representing SYN-BIOS’ core business, was born and developed throughout 2020; during the lockdown, the only activities allowed – in addition to those related to basic needs – were those aimed at the production of sanitizing / disinfectant products, that saw a dizzying increase, given the situation.
In this uncertain scenario, SYN-BIOS has seized the opportunity to convert part of its business into the production of cleansing products for the skin (cosmetic sector) and for surfaces (cleaning sector).
The products for the cosmetic sector (skin cleansers) include hydroalcoholic rinse-free hand cleansing formulas, in gel or spray, enriched with emollient substances that, even if used frequently, protect the lipid layer of the skin.
Regarding the detergency sector, on the other hand, the company developed some products for surfaces cleaning in two options: alcohol-based and totally water-based formulations; both cleanse by mechanically removing germs and bacteria.
As far as the marketing of these new items is concerned, SYN-BIOS provides a package of cleansing products that cover both the cosmetic and detergent sectors, so to offer a complete service for both the domestic and foreign markets.
SYN-BIOS, always oriented towards an “eco-friendly” production, has managed to focus on this goal also in the production of detergents / cosmetics by committing a specific department for the production of these products, paying great attention to the environment safeguard, thanks good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Specifically, the alcohol-based products are made from bio-alcohol, and the surface cleaners contain only biodegradable surfactants.
Thanks to serious and widespread work, the production of leather chemicals is also going on at a rapid pace; another goal achieved in 2020, among other things, is that now SYN-BIOS also offers products that are certified at level 1 of ZDHC.
As a matter of fact, SYN-BIOS joined the ZDHC project, subscribing to the dedicated portal and certifying some of the main ranges of products, to make sure that leather items fully comply with the increasingly stringent specifications of the big brands.
The work started in 2020 was only the beginning: SYN-BIOS is committed to let its products be “safer”, so to guarantee compliance with the strictest specifications.
The company has achieved important milestones in the difficult year 2020: it opened a cosmetic laboratory as the market needed cleansing/sanitizing products for the skin, as well as developing the detergents for which it was already authorized to. The stimulus to grow and improve, typical of north-eastern Italian entrepreneurship, has helped achieving this result despite the difficulties in managing the process during the lockdown, such as smart working and the closure of public offices responsible for issuing authorizations.
The desire to do and get back into the game were the winning cards for a year that had a positive sign.
