We asked Mr. Noriyuki Takata, owner of Takata Leather Shaving Ltd., to tell us something more about the experience he had with the remote installation of the Bauce Blue Extreme.

Why did you choose a Bauce machine and what are the advantages of this choice from a technological point of view?
The reason why I chose the BAUCE machine this time is that I have been using the BAUCE machine for 12 years and it is still in full operation, but it cannot be denied that it has deteriorated over time. We have decided to introduce additional new models from. It’s been 12 years and It is still working for about 10 hours a day, but It has never been serious obstacles and we never couldn’t use the machine for a few days. From this experience, it was an option to introduce a new model of BAUCE, which uses tough and high-grade stainless steel for the main part. And from a technical point of view, the Bauce machine we are currently using is composed of 5 rollers and driven by a hydraulic unit, but the Blue Extreme introduced this time has 7 rollers. It is eco-friendly and is driven by electric motors,and is much quieter than a hydraulic unit, which greatly reduces operator stress due to work noise. And we were able to confirm a productivity improvement of 20% or more.
What are your thoughts about remote installation between Italy and Japan? Would you do that again?
I tried remote installation due to foreigner immigration restrictions due to the situation of this corona. After all, I really wanted the technician to come to Japan from Bauce and complete the installation. However, all the staff at Bauce participated in the remote installation with all their might, and successfully completed the fine-tuning of the parameters by the startup and the tele-assistant system. We are planning to try the remote update again in the near future.
Bauce is able to assist you remotely in real time to solve any type of problem. How important is it for you to have such a guarantee?
The importance of Bauce’s remote support for problem solving in real time. Unfortunately, there are few companies in Japan that can maintain overseas leather industry machinery. So, BAUCE, which solves problems in real time, is indispensable to us.
What is the current market situation in Japan? Did the recovery start in the last months? Unfortunately, Japan is still far behind the corona vaccination situation like other developed countries and the market has not yet recovered, but the market has improved a little compared to a few months ago. It was.
Will you take part in the next edition of the Simac Tanning Tech in September or to other events in Europe? If the corona infection has subsided and immigration restrictions have been almost lifted, I would definitely like to visit the Milan Fair as soon as possible.
