“We have taken on the sustainability challenge for a new, eco-friendly fashion, adjusting our range of articles to a production of soles and heels made with fully recyclable, bio-based plastic materials proceeding from renewable sources,” explained Simona Baldoncini, the firm’s creative direction, when we met her on the occasion of the latest Lineapelle exhibition. “The new Val Natural brand, launched during this edition of the fair, puts in the limelight the new collection, that is, an innovative array of certified, traceable products, in full compliance with the zero-waste policy. The line is entirely made in Italy and features a high percentage of pre-consumer recycled material.”

The goal pursued by the enterprise based in Morrovalle, Macerata province, to provide its suppliers in the footwear sector with customized, cutting-edge, eco-friendly solutions, that feature new alternative materials with a low environmental impact, while succeeding in ensuring the same top-notch standards when it comes to quality, durability and performance.

“Our new products are designed in terms of sustainability along their whole life cycle,” stated Simona Baldoncini, “from the concept to the selection of materials, from the manufacturing phase up to their use and final recovery. Obviously, without going to the detriment of the high- profile stylistic/aesthetic care and of the technological/structural excellence. Cost-wise as well, said articles are perfectly on a par with the traditional solutions.”

Val Di Chienti Plast’s history is deeply tied to that of a family boasting more than seventy years of experience in the footwear sector: today, it relies on its own laboratory of ideas, entirely made in Italy, that has managed to arouse the interest of internationally renowned designers and shoe factories thanks to its cutting-edge know-how, first-rate quality, innovation and unique style.

The constant search for upgrades results in the R&D department’s steady commitment to trends analysis, so as to manufacture soles, heels, bottoms and fussbetts for women’s shoes standing out fort their design and functional features. “For our company, the research and innovation process plays a pivotal role,” pointed out Cristina Baldoncini, production supervisor, “and it has been focusing more and more on a sustainable, top- quality production, as required by the future.”
