40 years have passed, and the TENNIS 81 keep on writing the history of sport and fashion.
TENNIS 81 are the timeless tennis shoes born from the combination of experience, technology and class of Puma and Zago, designing together the two- material sole shoe that Zago pioneered. The elegant sport met with considerable fervour in the 1980s and, also thanks to the Zago molds, it imprinted in history unforgettable matches and unbeatable champions. The TENNIS81 wrote the history of sports footwear for their unmistakable lightness, abrasion resistance and comfort. Estimates record about 50 million pairs of TENNIS81 produced worldwide but such figure is destined to further grow as this model is still marketed all over the world. Production began in 1981 with ZAGO molds and involved 7 countries: Italy, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Ukraine, Macedonia and Pakistan. An idea, a project, a success that has lasted for 40 years. A sports shoe diligently blending German rigor and Italian design, a true fashion cult throughout Europe.
