CORPLAST, High-end, special soles, Rubflex is the latest innovation

CORPLAST

With more than forty years of experience, CORPLAST is true a benchmark for the international footwear industry.

“Shape your ideas”. As confirmed by the homepage of the corporate website, this is the mission pursued by CORPLAST, firm established in 1973 in Corridonia (Macerata province), acknowledged as a benchmark for the international footwear industry due to the ample selection of products featuring fashion finishes as well as a wide range of effects – opaque, transparent, shiny, matte, metal or satin.

“Our core business,” stated Loris Liciotti, Sales Manager of the Marche-based firm, when we met him at the latest edition of Lineapelle, “lies in the manufacturing of special, high-end soles in EVA, TPU and TR. For the occasion, we have given more space to TR, since it is an article conceived for mid-quality footwear, by putting on display our non-exclusive collection of samples. On the other hand, TPU and EVA are specific solutions that we customize for renowned brands and single customers. This year, we have added the RUBFLEX model, made with a new, incredibly lightweight compound, yet featuring a fairly inexpensive sole. This is the product on which we are going to focus in 2020: it is not a brand-new solution, as it is already available on the market, but we are going to launch our own version and I believe that we will succeed in winning over plenty of new customers, especially foreign ones.”

“In the same sample collection displayed at Lineapelle,” he added, “we have chosen to showcase fewer sneakers, even though it’s still a major trend, in order to concentrate more on women’s models, especially combat and bikers boots, a sporty-casual line targeted mainly at girls and young ladies: ours is a bet, we think we can be a step ahead of fashion. In terms of turnover, our results should be similar to those of the previous year, it would be an amazing feat given the sector’s downturn period. I will be very pleased if things turn out the same in 2020 as well.”

Featuring an export share ranging from 65 to 70%, CORPLAST expects further growth margins, especially abroad. “We are focusing on the German market,” stated Liciotti. “For us, Germany is already a pivotal destination, just like Russia, the other Eastern European nations, Portugal and Spain. Recently, we have opened a production plant in Albania, where we think we might get better quotations and be able to serve several customers who, in turn, are moving to this country, acknowledged as a strategic hub even from a geographical point of view, since it gives us the chance to supply directly the Eastern European market, the one boasting the highest growth margins by far.” www.corplast.it
