“We are satisfied with the results obtained at the last edition of Lineapelle,” says Daniele Leoni, sales manager of Lenzi Egisto®, adding up the sums of a three-day event marked by stand visits by important clients and by a mood of muted optimism despite the economic situation.
The Tuscan brand, with over a century of tradition in the development of innovative and sustainable textile solutions for safety footwear and technical apparel, brought at the fair many innovations focused on breathability.
“Today, climate change is an indisputable process and innovation must necessarily pass through the concept of high breathability and lightweight. We have committed to these requirements by focusing on research into new materials in polyester and polyamide for uppers that can optimize the thermal comfort sensation of the end user of work footwear and trainers”.
Sustainability also continues to be at the heart of the Lenzi Egisto® strategy. Research in this sense is a must to contribute to the preservation of the planet and stems from an increasingly widespread market awareness of environmental issues. The latest innovation in this field is called MicroLenzi.
“The new sustainable reinforcement and support concept,” continues Daniele Leoni, “is a kind of textile microfiber that does not use any type of resin, silicone or harmful chemical substance. It is an eco-sustainable product with a wider ethical value as it is made entirely in Italy at the FF factories in Vaiano (PO). Composed of 50% recycled nylon obtained from fishing and aquaculture nets, it is 100% recyclable: cutting scraps can be entirely reused. Lighter than traditional microfiber and available in different weights, it is a reinforcement system suitable for the inner lining of bags and footwear, perfect for fleshing on the edge and does not fray when cut.
“MicroLenzi is a bet we are staking a lot on,” Leoni concludes.
“Our clients request quality, recycled and extremely technical products, in a mix of breathability, lightness, comfort, resistance to wear, ductility and versatility: we give them a business to invest in.”
