The Fondazione Sozzani buzzed with creativity and sustainability during Milan Fashion Week, where designer Marcello Pipitone unveiled his latest collection. This innovative line seamlessly blends his signature street couture with Eastman‘s eco-friendly Naia™ Renew fiber.
The event, aptly titled “M:A,M,M.A*: Fashion: Art, Materials, Music. Action”, was an immersive experience that fused fashion, visual art, music, and digital performance. Pipitone’s collection took center stage, showcasing the innovative Sherpa fabric, a blend of wool and Naia™ Renew. This unique fiber comprises 60% sustainable wood pulp and 40% recycled materials. Born from a collaboration between Pipitone and Eastman Naia™, the fabric was produced in Italy by the spinning mill Lady V and dyed by Modena-based Tintoria Emiliana, ensuring both quality and environmental responsibility.
The evening also featured a second collection by MARCELLO PIPITONE, crafted entirely from recycled jeans and vintage football shirts, further emphasizing the designer’s commitment to a more sustainable future. Adding to the eco-conscious showcase was a capsule collection of metropolitan sneakers by SANGI, a Milanese footwear designer who uses regenerated football boots.
The “M:A,M,M.A*” event proved that fashion can be a powerful vehicle for innovation and sustainability, without compromising on style and creativity.
