Great effort has been put in research and development of which the core focus being non-oxidating, nickel free products which are in line with European standards and Japanese Keiki requirements.
Coffee dregs, egg shells, discarded fishing nets: innovative materials used to design solutions aimed at playing a strategic role in the evolution of the zippers sector. The zippers provided by OOK ZIPPERS – brand worldwide acknowledged as a byword for top-quality, durable, eco-friendly products made in stainless steel, designed to ensure optimal resistance to abrasion and corrosion – were put on display at the latest edition of Lineapelle, featuring some “green” models that have turned recycling into their core strength and flagship.
The core mission pursued by the Hong Kong-based firm is to manufacture, in a sustainable way, accessories for the fashion industry, trying to enhance, from a social as well as from an environmental perspective, the scraps produced daily by both enterprises and citizens. OOK ZIPPERS has focused its attention on the research of significant waste in terms of quantity: coffee dregs (55%) and egg shells (46%) are employed in the making of fabrics that, for now, are experimentally used to design small canvas bags and cosmetic pouches.
