OTTOGALLI, A history aimed at the future

Ottogalli

A long tradition is that of Ottogalli, producing injection machines for the footwear industry and beyond. Each machine is built, assembled and tested in the plant based in Albignasego (Padua province); it is afterwards sold in Italy or abroad. Everything takes place in an indoor building large around 3000 square meters where a highly qualified staff works.

The Padua-based company has specialized in customizing machines for the footwear sector and and is developing the field of technical and logistic items such as pallets. The injection machines are modular and reliable, built with the best materials on the market to ensure durability over time.
“Here at Simac we display our historic machines, which have been successful over the years: machines for making single, double or three-color soles – explains Roberto Businaro, owner of the brand Ottogalli; – we also showcase some particular models, rearranged for other destinations that employ recycled material to make, for example, tiles and pallets.”
The Paduan company has been founded in 1956 and exports its prestigious machines for footwear worldwide; the special machines as well as those for technical items are instead marketed only throughout Europe, as the right attention to quality products manufactured with recycling machines is still missing.
As stated, half of the production goes to the footwear sector, half to other markets. Among its customers, in the aerospace sector, stands out one a top German company, which employs Ottogalli’s machinery to manufacture the seats of its planes.
“2018 has been really successful – says Roberto Businaro. – 2019 also started well, we are collecting important orders that will then be undertaken throughout the year, it takes up to 8 months to build a single special machine, according to the specific needs of the customer.”
Ottogalli still produces machinery suitable to make boots, soles, sandals and technical items of all kinds, making use of a wide range of materials including thermoplastics, thermosetting, EVA and rubber.
The company is able to perform any type of technical assistance on new and / or used machines. Thanks to the company archive, which preserves the history of all Ottogalli machines built to date, it can supply any type of spare part needed.
Thanks to the long experience of Ottogalli’s technical staff, the revamping of used machines is carried out thoroughly.
Among the services offered by the company led by Roberto Businaro, the possibility of calling for assistance and getting quotes directly online. By filling out the form on the site, the request is carried out quickly so to minimize waiting times.
Among the wide catalogue stands out EPS1 and 2 Hybrid, the newborn rotary machines, for the production of soles and slippers in single and double color in PVC-TR and TPU. The machines are completely hydraulic, with electric engines and variable flow rate pumps, controlled by high-efficiency electric linear motors featuring low energy consumption that allow considerable savings, up to 50% compared to competitors’ ones.
As far as the recycled materials are concerned, Ottogalli features the rotary machine RCL R1000 (1000 ton clamping force) or the RCL S2000 (2000 ton clamping force) for extrusion-injection molding of items in recycled materials, boasting 6 or 8 working stations. In the rotary version and with 1 or 2 stations in the static version, able to increase production at a low environmental impact. www.ottogalli.it
