Team Duemila was a forerunner in this sector when the tanneries still did not use monitoring systems and / or automatisms. This is now taken for granted: today, the information of a tannery is all suitably organized in order to support the entrepreneur who has to make important decisions according to the data collected. To do this it is necessary to have a uniform system: often, tanneries rely on old computerization systems, added one on the other through years, but this does not provide homogeneous data. Thanks to our software, instead, we are able to control all the processes and all sectors of the company – accounting, warehouse, production and management control. Our software can be used in all departments of the tannery, also remotely through specific apps, and is able to collect uniform statistics, with Business Intelligence tools, without the need to add different software. For the tanning sector, this is a vertical system, being a software developed specifically for tanning companies by people who know the processes of this sector. The system allows us to better manage statistics, quality and other important parameters, all with a uniform database. This is the real difference: all tanneries today have at least one software, impossible not to have it, the problem is that they have too many, one from 20 years ago, one from 10 and maybe a new one, managed by different suppliers who have no common goals… to really improve productivity and become a 4.0 company, the information system must instead be homogeneous and collect all the information.” “In addition to working with the fashion sector in Florence and surroundings – adds the Xtannery Executive Sales Manager – we work in the three tanning districts of Arzignano, Santa Croce and Solofra, but we also enlarged to the rest of the North-East and in Lombardy and, since 2020, we have strengthened our presence abroad thanks to the collaboration with HUNI AG, which markets the process under the DATATAN 4.0 brand. How the market has changed after the two-year pandemic? Companies now don’t look for a process to manage the production anymore, but a solution to monitor business costs and get dynamic statistics, even if our task is practically the same. Not having statistics means that you haven’t managed the upstream process, so you can’t determine the company’s costs without managing the processes that generate them.”
